The Colombian American Bar Association honored Judge Catalina Avalos of the 17th Judicial Circuit in and for Broward County, as the first Colombian born Judge to be appointed to the bench and Judge Veronica Diaz of the 11th Judicial Circuit, in and for Miami-Dade County, as the first Colombian born Judge to be elected to the bench.
