Martha L. Arias, Esq.

Martha Liliana Arias is the founder and sole owner of Arias Villa LLC, a full-service immigration law firm located in Miami, Fl.  Martha has been exclusively and successfully practicing U.S. immigration law for almost two decades; she has relevant experience with removal defense cases, USCIS and NVC cases, and also business visas, particularly investors visas.

Martha obtained her Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University, School of Law; she also has a Master’s Degree in Comparative Law with emphasis in International Law from the University of Miami, School of Law, and a juris doctor degree from Colombia- a civil law

system. Martha is fluent in English and Spanish.  Martha is admitted to practice law in Florida; she is also admitted to practice before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle and Southern District of Florida. Martha has litigated immigration cases before the 11th   and 9th Circuit Court, the Southern and Middle District of Florida, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Administrative Appeals Office.

Martha has been invited to comment about immigration law by several media outlets in South Florida and South America, such as La Mega TV, Channel 17th, “Canal Uno” (Colombia), Actualidad Radio Miami, Blue Radio Colombia, EVTV Miami, Zona Exitos (Venezuelan TV Program), and Caracol Radio Miami. Additionally, Martha has a weekly radio program in Caracol Radio Miami about immigration law and news, which has been on the air for the past 13 years, and gives the immigration news in Actualidad Radio every Monday for the past four years.

In addition, Martha is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 2005. Since 2009, Martha has been a board member of AILA and has participated in numerous AILA committees, including the Federal Litigation Committee, the ICE/OCC Committee, and the USCIS Committee. She is also a founding member of the AILA National Litigation Section.

Martha is a past president of the Colombian American Bar Association where she has been active for more than 10 years. Additional community activities include annual participation in the Ethical Governance Day by the Maimi-Dade County Commission on Ethics and Public Trust, a program for high school students. Martha is currently part of “Zona 33 – Colobianos en el Exterior,” a n non-profit organization to which she provides information and news about U.S. immigration law.
