My name is Claudia Gabriela Cardenas and I am a new Florida attorney! I am a proud graduate of St. Thomas University College of Law. While in law school, I served as Vice President (2024-2025) and Social Media Director (2023-2024) of my school’s Colombian Student Bar Association chapter. Throughout law school, I worked as Intern and Law Clerk gaining experience in municipal law and public service. Throughout my legal training, I worked in private practice, local government, and federal government legal departments. I now work as a defense attorney defending employer/carrier clients under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA) and the Defense Base Act (DBA).
I have held leadership roles in government and community outreach, which has strengthened my commitment to public service and advocacy. I am passionate about strengthening the Colombian and Hispanic community’s involvement in the legal field.
