Douglas Sanchez, Esq

Doug is the managing partner of the south Florida, New Jersey and Pennsylvania offices of Cruser, Mitchell, Novitz, Sanchez, Gaston & Zimet, LLP. He is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a civil trial attorney and his practice emphasizes complex civil litigation. Doug represents individuals, corporations, partnerships, public entities, and insurance carriers in state and federal courts throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut , Massachusetts, Illinois and Florida in litigation matters involving director and officer liability, employment practices claims, product liability, corporate ownership and partnership disputes, insurance coverage disputes, non-compete agreements, construction claims, and professional liability. Doug also has extensive experience litigating and defending claims for civil rights violations, commercial vehicle accidents, and product liability claims. Doug has tried, mediated and arbitrated cases in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and Florida state and federal courts, and is admitted to practice law in NJ, NY, CT, PA, MA, IL and FL. Doug has a Martindale Hubbell AV rating (the highest possible) and has been selected as a New Jersey Super Lawyer for the past ten years.

Doug has been appointed by a national insurance carrier as its designated catastrophic loss attorney for New Jersey. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey and currently serves as legal counsel to the Hispanic Business Council Scholarship Foundation, Inc. Doug has served as chairperson and panelist on the Bergen County Fee Arbitration Panel; co-chair person of the Bergen County Civil Practice Committee; member of the District IIA Ethics Committee; member of the Bergen Community College Legal Assistant Advisory Board; adjunct professor at Bergen Community College; and as a director of the Hispanic Business Council of the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey, Inc. Doug is also fluent in Spanish.
