Retired legal practitioner and distinguished member of the Colombian-American Bar Association, Michael Currea retired after a distinguished career in the legal profession, having been involved in private law practice since October 1975.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, he was born in Miami, Florida, in 1949 and spent his formative years in Bogota, Colombia, from age one to age 15.
Throughout his career, he made significant contributions to the legal community. As an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law, he taught Legal Research, Writing, and Oral Argument, shaping the minds of future legal professionals.
He also served as a title agent for Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund, Inc., now Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, providing essential services in the real estate sector.
A proud co-founder and past President of the Colombian-American Bar Association (COLBAR), Michael Currea remains an esteemed member of the COLBAR Board of Directors. His dedication to the legal profession and the Colombian-American community is also reflected in his past service as Secretary and Director of the Hialeah-Miami Springs Bar Association.
Michael A. Correa now enjoys a well-deserved retirement, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and service in the legal profession.
