I am a very proud first-generation double cane! My family is originally from Santa Rosa de Cabal, Colombia, and I grew up in New Jersey. I came to Miami, Florida, hoping to reconnect with my Hispanic culture, and fell in love with the Colombian pride I encountered in my friends and academic and professional groups like Colbar.
