MAP & DIRECTIONS

Maria Camila Ochoa

I am a first-generation law student at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law. Born in Medellin, Colombia, I moved to the United States with my family at the age of three. Despite this transition, Colombia remains my first home, and I am deeply connected to my culture, making it a priority to visit as often as possible.

Being part of an immigrant family has been a significant source of motivation for me. The sacrifices my parents made for my siblings and me have instilled in me a strong drive to excel in all my endeavors, not just for myself but also in honor of their efforts. I take great pride in my Colombian heritage, recognizing the values of hard work and passion that define us.

I am ambitious and committed to preserving my Colombian culture, incorporating it into everything I do. Joining this organization represents a meaningful step in both preserving my heritage and integrating it into my legal career.
